If you and your watch partner(s) like to binge well-acted, genuine romance TV check out One Day on Netflix. This 2024 British show is 14 short episodes, each taking place one year apart and guiding us through the lives of two college graduates meeting on the last night of school and trying to get a handle on what to do with their lives. You may recognize the two leads from The White Lotus (Leo Woodall) and This is Going to Hurt (Ambika Mod). They each carry their roles with tons of scene presence and are lovely to look at as well.
Our daughter recommended it for my wife and I and we found it realistic (for TV), sweet and funny at times, serious at other times, and just a flat out satisfying watch. The music soundtrack is an added bonus, nailing the perfect background for each of the episode years. Watch with the subtitles, and it will tell you the artists and titles as well, not to mention getting you through the sometimes heavy accents.
