The Bear
The Bear
Curious if anyone is watching this one as well. It has definitely grown on me but early on the show actually gave me anxiety. I'm like "stop yelling and do something"! But the characters are great and when they start getting into more of the development via flashbacks in subsequent seasons it really picks up steam.

I lose track, which season had the Christmas episode? That was insane!RickC wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 11:24 am I enjoyed the first two seasons. The third season was a bit intense but did provide deeper insights into the characters. I will tune into the next season!

That’s ultimately where I land. It can be uncomfortable but it’s not formulaic.Chris S wrote: Sat Feb 08, 2025 5:27 pm Love this show. I love the intensity and anxiety it produces, tv that actually makes me feel something.
Re: The Bear
Yeah! Season 2. The Christmas episode and Forks are two of the best hours of TV ever.
Overall agree with all that’s said above. The show does increase anxiety (sort of, it’s like the blues… but for anxiety? Does that make any sense?)
And seasons one and two were great!
I think season three (not currently my favorite) might look better after season four drops. I think they filmed them back to back. So 3/4 are really just one longer season.
Re: The Bear
I enjoyed the first 2 seasons. I thought the Season 3 premiere, which was mostly free of dialogue, was brilliant. And then, it seemed like everyone yelled and they had no script for most of the rest. I have to say I didn't enjoy it and it was disappointing.
