Hey, I haven't been on here much myself with the move. This morning I went to login and the site was down. I went to my rack and discovered the server was "sleeping/hibernating". I think this is likely because I changed desktops. This site and my entire "home lab" runs on Ubuntu desktop. Their actual default desktop GUI is their flavor of Gnome. Even though I am getting much more comfortable just SSHing in and doing things via command line, I sometimes want to remote into the desktop UI. This stopped working over a month ago even though everything else on the server worked and the internet seemed to indicate it was an issue between Chrome Remote Desktop and Gnome caused by an OS update. So over the weekend I uninstalled Gnome and installed Cinnamon desktop. I think since then, the server has been going to sleep for power savings mode. I believe I fixed this this morning.
I know this place isn't as hopping as the old boards and I think not as big a deal if its not up, but maybe I'll IM some folks my cell number and people could ping me if the site is down.

Apparently the server went down while I was on a family vacation. Should be good now. I’ll look into setting up an alert (not that I necessarily could have fixed it while out of town) so I know if the site is down more timely.
