Blackbraid is a one-person Indigenous black metal project founded by Sgah’gahsowáh (aka Jon Krieger), who hails from the Adirondack region of New York. Blackbraid emerged in 2022 with a raw yet atmospheric sound that incorporates elements of melodic black metal and nods to Sgah’gahsowáh’s Native American heritage.

Sacandaga is from the first album, Blackbraid I. The second, you guessed it, Blackbraid II, is at least as good. We need more of this.
