TTB is one of my fav bands, especially live. I regret not being able to attend their Tampa Bay Blues Fest in April. Derek Trucks is getting the notice he has long deserved, and Susan is a fine singer and guitar player herself. I find it hard to believe that Trucks' resume includes playing on Tinsley Ellis' "Storm Warning" at 14. His long membership in the Allman Brothers and playing beside Warren Haynes includes many killer performances.

Todd Snider has died. A singer songwriter with a collection of work that includes some 20 albums, Snider was the singer for the Hard Working Americans, a side project featuring the rhythm section from Widespread Panic and the late Neal Casal. I saw them live and loved them. The manner of Snider's passing and events around his last few days are a topic in print. Regardless he is gone and that is our loss.
